Summer In The City

When it's summer in the city

And you are so long gone from the city

I...

I walk along calle Real, Liberia. I see houses that were built years ago, seniors sitting on rocking chairs or benches, just watching people walk by. Their warm smiles bring joy to my heart. Their eyes have witnessed decades of changes, of buildings being built and torn down, of children who outgrew them, of stories about tradition, family and love.

Stray dogs that belong to everyone, people who know their neighbors’ names and haven’t failed to greet them with a “Buenos días” year after year. And one of my favorites, the Paper House that has not been blown away by the wind.

Don't get me wrong dear, in general I'm doing quite fine.

It's just when it's summer in the city and you're so long gone from the city...

I start to miss you baby sometimes.

I start to miss you baby sometimes.

I start to miss you baby...
