You might not know what a Monstera is, but chances are, you have seen it. From throw pillows to dresses and wall décor, the representation of tropical plants such as Monstera and Euterpe (from the palm tree) has grown substantially in the past two years. Tropical motifs have been up and down runways world-wide and the trend is still going strong this summer.

Personally, I love tropical prints. Green is one of my favorite colors and although I am not great at taking care of plants, I love to be surrounded by them. Fortunately, Will is a plant master (when compared to me), which means I get to have real plants and fake plants (on the prints of my clothes and my planner cover).

When I found this cute top, I knew I wanted to bring it to our trip to California. I wore it during our visit to Napa Valley. Since I knew we would spend a few hours walking, I paired it with comfy knit ruffle pants and a small tassel bag to carry the essentials. Besides the print, I really liked the open sleeves on this top; I never felt too hot or cold while walking outside, around the vineyards, or inside the wineries where the AC was on.
