Friday Outfit by Julia Fischer

Most of the fashion designers I find inspiring, have something in common. They changed the norm of what women were supposed to wear. Coco Chanel, Bonnie Cashin, Elsa Schiaparelli brought comfort, power, and creativity to the female wardrobe.

When I saw Julia Fischer’s collection last season at the KCFW Saturday runway, I felt that. Her designs were packed with femininity and color, but at the same time, exhaled power and freedom. The combination of ruffles, see-through and brocade create a unique look. Her clothes are all about letting women be who they are, about enjoying life, and about enforcing that self confidence that pushes you to go get what you want out of life.

Once you’ve seen the clothes, you start to wonder, what is the designer like? She is all of that! Will and I met with Julia to talk about this collaboration. A scientist by day, a fashion designer by night. Julia told us about her aspiration to design clothes, and how she just went for it last season, and applied to exhibit her creations at KCFW. Inteligent, creative, kind. I was so lucky to get to meet Julia, and to wear her gorgeous dress and bra.

If you loved Julia's designs too, make sure you check out her website, and follow her on social media: Instagram and Facebook.

If I could leave you with a single message it would be: Stand tall, have fun, and keep going. You’ve got this!
